Unmasking Ourselves

When I think of unmasking it usually starts by taking off my glasses. I find my face without glasses is very foreign to me. Who is that girl?

I have worn glasses almost every day for 29 years. I get some satisfaction from wearing cute glasses- they add to my sense of uniqueness...but sometimes I can see how they are a crutch...I will get a new pair of glasses and feel proud "no one else at work/church has these glasses! Aha! I am unique! And quirky!"

Without my glasses I am still unique...as my essence doesn't change with outer adornment.

I am sharing two versions of this- the first is straight out of the camera.
